The Robot Operating System2 (ROS2) is the latest version of the world’s leading open source robotics middleware (ROS) used in thousands of prototypes and products. No matter if it is robot manipulators, service robots, drones, autonomous cars, submarines or industry robots, ROS2 is the universal platform to connect everything. In this 3-day training, participants will learn to configure and use ROS2-based software solutions. The training covers best practice solutions taught by experienced ROS developers and can be individually adjusted to the needs and skills of the participants.
Target Group:
- Beginner ROS2 developers, users and students
- ROS developers that want to migrate to ROS2
- Anyone interest to learn about basic concepts of ROS2 (with basic programming and linux experience)
Prerequisites: Linux/Phyton/Git and Phyton experience
3-day training
Day 1: Recap and streamline Linux, Bash/Git, Docker and Python, introduction to ROS 2 and basic tools.
Day 2: Navigation with Nav2, deploying applications on real robots
Day 3: Manipulation with MoveIt2 / consolidation of the course content
